This was a large summer music festival www.coventryfestival.com which took place in the grounds of Coombe Abbey on Saturday 26th July 2004. TeenIdol was delighted to be invited to open the high profile music concert on the main stage which featured Liberty X, One True Voice, Kelly Lorena, Boysterous and a whole host of R&B, Urban and DJs.

In all, over 20 of our 30 performers were able to attend and we made sure that they all had a stage appearance in at least two of the five songs we performed in front of a very welcoming festival crowd. It was a great experience for everyone and we have been asked back next year to do even more.

The quality of their performances was excellent – and we maintained our policy of singing live! Three months prior to this concert, some of these young musicians had never sung in public before. Now they were sharing the same stage and mingling backstage in the hospitality area with some of their bedroom wall heroes. How’s that for inspiration! As a success story … it doesn’t get much better than this!

It was nice to see that the TeenIdol crew hadn’t lost any of their team spirit. They were working hard backstage, practicing their harmonies and helping each other out with dance steps right up until the moment they went on stage.
